This is really just an atmospheric intro to the next track, the Gallows Tree- given the subject matter of that song, we thought it'd be appropriate to try and set the scene. The crowd noise is courtesy of a sound effects library on the internet, but the latin chanting is ably provided by two of our Kickstarter backers- Mr Tommy Rushton and Mr Adam Page, and you can also hear the screams and shouts of a condemned man (Dr Jim Waterman) being dragged to the gallows tree to be hung for his crimes. We had a lot of fun putting it all together in the studio, and Chris Fielding seemed to relish the challenge- he certainly enjoyed listening to Jim scream "you bastards" a few times!

Requiem aeternam
Dona eis, domine.
Et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Requiescant in Pace. Amen.
